Kuula, Toivo

Toivo Kuula(1883-1918), Finnish composer and conductor, studied at the Helsinki Music Institute, and then in Bologna, Leipzig , Paris, and Berlin, conducted in Vaasa, Oulu, Helsinki, and Viipuri. His compositions reveal his indebtedness to Finnish folk songs in addition to a few impressionist elements. His works include orchestral and choral music, and songs.
