Korngold, Erich Wolfgang


Erich Wolfgang Korngold(1897-1957), Austrian-American composer, considered to be a child prodigy by Mahler, started to compose at the age of 10, he taught at the Vienna State Academy. In 1934, he moved to Hollywood and started to write scores for films, he composed 5 operas, 19 film scores, a symphony,a violin concerto, and chamber music.
